About the Audiofrog G62
Make the leap to better sound
If you haven't heard of Audiofrog yet, here's what you need to know — there's no one like them. Drawing on decades of collective experience in the car audio field, the folks at Audiofrog have translated their practical knowledge of what makes great sound into the G62, a no-nonsense, high-quality coaxial speaker.
Let's start with the 6" woofer — a strong polypropylene cone gives you terrific response, while its parabolic shape and 1" copper voice coil ensure impressive power handling. The G62's 1" tweeter takes on the high frequencies with gusto thanks to an incredibly resilient soft fabric dome design, while minimal tweeter protrusion allows these speakers to fit in more vehicles. The 6 dB/octave high-pass filter ensures that the right high frequencies go to the tweeter, while the woofer handles everything else for well-balanced sound.
But here's an example of how Audiofrog separates itself from the pack. They know that the most common location for coaxial speakers is in the lower part of the front and rear doors. That's not optimal for listening because the sound is not directed at your ears. So Audiofrog engineered this speaker to direct the high frequencies higher up — closer to your ears. The result is better-defined, clearer highs than your factory speakers.
Road-tested
You'll want to power these speakers with an outboard amp to hear their incredible clarity. The confident sound of the G62 is built upon a full one hundred hours of testing and abuse, during which these speakers have to perform under the strain of extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
